PTO Impact

The PTO recently sponsored the purchase of a new Indy Track Records Board that has been placed by the gym.

Jared Laughbaum, the middle school teacher that headed up the project said, "As a former college track athlete, I know it's good to have goals in life and in athletics. The record board will allow students to see what's possible and create goals to accomplish." Go Knights!

Your PTO at work!

"This is a picture of the drums the PTO is funding. We already have some of the middle size, so the PTO is completing our collection with the large and small drums. Having all three sizes will provide more depth to the sound of our drumming. The increase in number will allow for more students to play together at a time. Previously, two students would share a drum, either playing simultaneously or taking turns. With the new drums, we'll all be able to drum together! With our drums, we'll learn music inspired by a variety of cultures around the world. We'll play together as a class, and we'll create our own rhythms in small groups. Our drums will teach us about taking turns and working together to create beautiful music. We cannot wait for our beautiful rainbow drums to arrive!" - Laura Smith, K-5 Music teacher
